Ca' Pesaro

Ca' Pesaro Venice

Ca ' Pesaro, Beautiful Palace and Museum on the Grand Canal in Venice.

Ca' Pesaro is a sumptuous palace of 1700 on the Grand Canal, now home to the International Gallery of Modern Art in Venice and the Oriental Art Museum. Ca' Pesaro often hosts important exhibitions and collections of contemporary art.

Both the palace and the museums housed in it have always been a symbol of intellectual vanguard in Venice: proof of this are the Italian artistic movement born therein in the early 1900, also known as "The Rebels of Ca' Pesaro", and more recently the agreement between the International Gallery of Modern Art and the Google Cultural Institute to let Ca' Pesaro in the Google Art Project, an online platform through which everyone in the world can access high-resolution images of art works kept in the partner museums.
