The Accademia Galleries of Venice

Leaving from Hotel Mignon with a beautiful walk of about 15 minutes you can reach and visit the Accademia Galleries, one of the most important museums of Venice.

In addition to organizing exhibitions of modern and contemporary art, the Accademia Galleries permanently display works of art of Venice and the Veneto Region, especially paintings from the fourteenth to the eighteenth century: the most important artists on display are Giorgione, Giovanni Bellini, Vittore Carpaccio, Cima Da Conegliano, Tintoretto, Titian, Guardi, Longhi, Lotto, Mantegna, Piero della Francesca.

Few know that inside the Accademia Galleries of Venice there is the original drawing of The Vitruvian Man by Leonardo Da Vinci (displayed to the public only on special occasions), perhaps one of the most famous drawings/icons in the world.

Since 2015 the Accademia Galleries have renewed their spaces and halls, as a result of a multi-year restoration that took place thanks to international fund raising and sponsors for the safeguarding of Venice.

Hotel Mignon recommends all guests a visit to the Accademia Galleries.
