Ca' d'Oro, one of the Oldest Palaces on the Grand Canal in Venice.
Ca' d'Oro is one of the most famous palaces in Venice, located in the Cannaregio "sestiere" directly on the Grand Canal, a stone's throw from our Hotel Mignon.
Ca' d'Oro is worlwide known because it's one of the most ancient palaces in Venice, one of the greatest examples of the Venetian gothic style, and also because originally some parts of its sumptuous facade were made of gold.
Ca' d'Oro is nowadays home of a permament museum, the Franchetti Gallery, which exhibits the permanent art collection of Barone Giorgio Franchetti (1865-1927) and always organizes and proposes modern and contemporary art exhibitions.
We at Hotel Mignon recommend to all our dear guests a visit to the near Ca'd'Oro.
